Argyle Parents and Students

The Argyle Secondary and the Choices team recognizes how challenging the last few years have been  for students who may already suffer with keeping their mental health in check. We want to reassure you that the safety of our students is our top priority. Below are a few useful resources and tools for both parents and students who may want to practice some mental health coping skills.

Some Tools You can Use Now:

If you are looking for practical ways to cope with the stress, below is Dialectical Behavioural Therapy resource. This website provides videos for hand on tools youth can use in times of need.

Anxiety BC for youth is an excellent resource for both parents and youth struggling to manage with the stresses around Covid 19 as well as videos and supports relating to mental health in general. I would recommend poking around here with your child if you have some time. Knowing a bit around how to best cope with this major stress the world is facing is a good way to open the means of communication around it. Even if we don't have all the answers, talking is healing.
